Pour Another for St Patrick

Friday, March 14th, 2014

We didn’t want St. Paddy’s Day to pass us by without reminding you of some of our fun ecard designs celebrating all that’s grand about the Emerald Isle.

Here’s one for those partial to a pint of the black stuff – including Saint Patrick himself, apparently!

And another to send to those not quite blessed with the luck of the Irish:

And a final proud and patriotic greeting for those lucky enough to call Eire home:

It might not seem the most obvious of occasions to send an ecard but remember if you’re already a member with Katie’s Cards it’s completely free to send as many of our designs, for as many dates in the calendar and to as many people in your address book as you like.

Take this opportunity to reconnect with family and friends in Ireland and beyond. And if you’re not a member, when you join consider subsequent Birthday and Christmas cards taken care of.

We’ll drink to that!

Happy New New Year

Friday, January 24th, 2014

If you’re a regular visitor to Katie’s Cards you might have noticed by looking at our homepage that we’ve added a couple more designs to the Chinese New Year category, ready for the celebrations which take place from January 31st.

Why the Long Face?

You might have also seen that the horse features quite heavily in a few of our designs… No we’ve not all turned into hippomaniacs (people obsessed with horses, apparently) but we did think it would be quite fitting as 2014 marks The Year of the Horse in the Chinese Zodiac.

And while we’re here bragging about all our new designs, we might as well tell you that we’re currently in the process of designing a rather special Valentine’s Day card too – so look out for further blog posts on the design process as well as a couple of sneak previews.

But wherever you are in the world, we hope you have a very Happy Chinese New Year.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Sunday, May 5th, 2013

Cinco de Mayo is a wonderfully vibrant festival. Though it’s often confused with Mexican Independence Day, Cinco de Mayo commemorates The Battle of Puebla during which a small Mexican army was victorious over the French, who were invading the country. Today, Cinco de Mayo is widely celebrated in the United States, and also in Mexico. The streets are filled with parades, the sounds of the mariachi bands and delicious Mexican food and margaritas are the order of the day!

We’ve put together an ‘everything you need to know’ Cinco de Mayo lens on Squidoo which you can view here. We also have a Pinterest board which is full of tasty Mexican recipes and fun decorating tips which you can view here.
