St. Patrick’s Day

Saturday, March 9th, 2013

St. Patrick‚Äôs Day is on the 17th March and, though it has been celebrated in Ireland for over 1,000 years, it is now celebrated all over the world. St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and it is believed that he brought Christianity to the Emerald Isle. St. Patrick’s Day is particularly widely celebrated in America, most likely because over thirty-four million Americans are of Irish descent!
