Say ‘thank you’ to your guests

Thursday, August 1st, 2013

It’s the middle of wedding season and so much work goes into planning a wedding that when the big day is over, it can be hard for the brides and grooms to know what to do next (after the honeymoon of course)! Saying ‘thank you’ to all the guests that made their wedding day special is usually one of the first jobs the newlyweds face.

Eco-friendly Weddings

Thursday, July 11th, 2013

A while ago a member of our marketing team, Amy, wrote a guest post on the wonderful Dotty Vintage Wedding blog in which she discussed some of the ways one can make their wedding eco-friendly without breaking the bank. From creating homemade favours, to choosing seasonal and local flowers to, of course, sending electronic ‘save the date’ cards instead of printed ones, there are lots of fun and creative ways in which one can have a wedding which (literally) won’t cost the earth.

They are much-loved around the world and are expecting their first baby this summer.

We at Katie’s Cards wish the couple well and, like everyone else, are excited about finding out whether they will be having a boy or a girl!

All you need is love…?

Thursday, April 11th, 2013

We’ve blogged in the past about the ways in which you can try to save a few pennies when planning your wedding and, in the current economic climate, many people are tightening their purse strings. Certain couples haven’t had such concerns … Back in 2002, at the wedding of Liza Minnelli and David Guest, the flowers reportedly cost $700,000 and, in 1991, Elizabeth Taylor’s famous pale yellow Valentino gown cost $30,000. More recently, Prince William and Kate Middleton spent $80,000 on their beautiful eight-tiered cake!
